In recognition of the principles and rules of the FSC® standard, FAS has adopted the “Chain of Custody” protocol, a globally recognized standard. This protocol ensures that the raw materials used for FAS window and door frames originate from properly managed forests, adhering to rigorous environmental, social, and economic standards.
The Chain of Custody guarantees the traceability of the FSC® certified product from the moment the wood is harvested from sustainable forests until the finished product is delivered to the customer. This process not only protects the environment but also ensures full respect for workers’ fundamental rights and the safeguarding of forest ecosystems.

Energy Savings and Thermal Comfort
Thermally insulating a building means ensuring that the heat produced inside is not unnecessarily dispersed into the surrounding environment. Correct thermal insulation can lead to significant energy savings for both winter heating and summer cooling. The use of insulating glass units, combined with warm edge spacers and argon gas filling, reduces dispersion, improving comfort inside the building in any climatic situation.
Acoustic Insulation
Noise pollution, detected in most urban areas, shows that the sound levels we are subjected to daily far exceed the tolerance threshold expected by the WHO, estimated at 65 dB (against an Italian average of 80 dB). The consequences of this exposure on our health range from hearing damage and sleep disturbances to more complex pathologies. To defend against noise pollution, it is necessary to create effective barriers between domestic or work environments and noise sources. Upon request, we can provide our frames with soundproof glazing to achieve high values of noise reduction.
Air Permeability
Air permeability measures a window or door's ability to block the passage of external air. Our products achieve Class 4, the highest level, ensuring airtightness even in the presence of strong wind. This not only eliminates annoying drafts but also helps reduce the entry of dust, smog, and odors, creating a cleaner and healthier indoor environment.
Water Tightness
Our frames are designed to withstand the elements. Water tightness indicates a product's ability to prevent infiltration even in conditions of heavy rain and strong wind. We offer products that meet and exceed Class 9A, the highest in the standard, guaranteeing maximum protection against infiltration and humidity. For even greater security, superior classes are available, such as E750 and E900, which offer exceptional resistance.
Resistance to Wind Load
Wind load resistance is a fundamental performance feature to ensure the stability and safety of the frames. Our products are tested to withstand strong positive and negative pressures, maintaining minimal deformation and preserving all their properties. By achieving the highest performance classes, our frames prevent breakage or sudden opening in case of strong gusts.
